Blinkfin
How does your company get the books closed each month?
Hi, I'm Sandro, founder of Blinkfin. I'm learning how growing companies handle the month-end close, from the people who actually do the work.
The gap I'm looking at
Many US companies of 20 to 150 people have outgrown a part-time bookkeeper but can't yet justify a full-time controller. Month-end close and account reconciliation land in between, handled by whoever has time. I want to understand how that really works.
Who I'd like to talk to
- You keep or run the books at a US company of roughly 20 to 150 people.
- The company is on QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- There's no full-time controller, so the close falls to you, a small team, or outside help.
Or you serve companies like that, as a fractional controller, an outsourced accountant or a bookkeeper.
What we'd talk about
How your close actually goes: what takes the time, what falls behind, who catches it up, and what you've tried. Questions about your work only. There's no pitch, no demo and nothing to buy.
Where I am
I build software, and I'm exploring whether agents could take on the routine part of the close (bank reconciliations, bill entry, invoice booking) while the company's own bookkeeper reviews and approves every step. It's early. Before I build anything, I want to understand the work from people who do it.
Your time
Thirty minutes to an hour, by video or phone, whenever suits you.
What happens to what you tell me
I take notes for my own research. I won't quote you by name or share details about your company without asking first, and I never share or sell contact details.
